Meet Prime Minister Rozen Aso

It’s official folks. After months of speculation, Taro Aso has become the new Prime Minister of Japan. I said before that Total Otaku Support would be grossly exaggerated (Mark Twain’s rolling in his grave by now lol), and oh boy, I’m now eating my own shorts. I was wrong. There’s no doubt now that this choice of the citizens of Japan will bear witness as Mr. Aso takes on the lead.

    Now this should be an interesting premiership.

    Asou used manga for an official information campaign back when he was Foreign Minister. Now that he’s on his way to the Kantei, I’m looking forward to how manga will figure in his political programme.

    You said it. Being a fan of manga doesn’t put much padding on the credibility on the post he’s sitting on.

    But we’ll see where this goes, for optimism.
