F’ing The Drama

The voting period has lapsed, the votes have ben tallied, and the results are in.

Oh man, only 6 people (including myself) voted. Hmm, maybe I need a better poll than this one. More related to our interests. :S

An interesting thing to note is that familiarity with the choices affects the votes cast by the participants. For instance:

  • The 1st option was drawn from the whole anime blog dorama started by another Filipino brethren, bluemist.
  • The 2nd option was from the whole ordeal with ODEX cooperating with the local authorities to catch illegal downloaders, which turned out to be a misunderstanding.
  • The 3rd option was inspired, I think, by the “anime is porn” issue that was discussed in Anime Nano Podcast last year, when I passenger’s belongings got inspected by airport security and (security) found BL manga.
  • The 4th option? I have no idea, but revolving discussions in the IRC chan about 2ch getting shut down and the ensuing conversation that followed may have been the inspiration to include this one.
  • The 5th option, I have no idea as well. Probably as to not appear biased towards the non-American readership.
  • The last one is pretty much an open-ended decision. I suspect not only the nationalities listed above may cause blog dorama. The Chinese may be cited as an example.

So there you have it. Now that this is over, I can now focus on other posts at hand. Maybe an anime summary essay or a game review (like this one) might be next.
