G.A.H: Get Aboard Happiness!

So after a grueling week of schoolwork, I look back to my HD to see if there are any newer titles that need updating. As you can see, I have a long list of them, even the now flat LCD doesn’t do justice to its coverage.
Then I noticed I have a complete series from 2 previous seasons ago left standing in the corner.
Yep, I’m referring to what was supposedly the closing season of School Rumble, a.k.a. School Rumble Nigakki. Honestly, I was expecting something as great as its previous season incarnation, that the funniness, the defining characteristic of a series of its genre, would be equally realized. Alas, I was met with a sense of disappointment over the direction of the now-successor to the SR franchise.
Most of the other bloggers I’ve filtered through the Anime Nano directory (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6) has expressed their individual dismay on how the story seems to have jumped from one inconsistency to the other. Moments in where there is absolutely no character development (and thus anime fodder, and a waste of space) have been put in place so as to break the continuity. After all, this series is quite popular for its random scene of comedy, but surely something as incongruent, as unimportant as a scene where the animators (in the context of the series, anyway) lack ideas is seriously in need of a break. Clarity and comedy should go together, as far as this series is concerned, like shampoo and conditioner.
…okay, enough of the negative ranting and the bashing (I know I’m already treading there) and let’s back to the point.
The thing is, with the way the series has gone, I feel like deleting the entire series and replacing it with something more “tasteful” (to me), and what better set of choices than the Fall Season of 2006. Yeah, I know I mentioned that there are a distasteful few shounen titles that I’d rather not touch with a 10-foot pole. But then again, through the wonders of Anime Nano (as well as reading the selection of anime blogs I’ve “favored”) I’ve come to the conclusion that what I have selected intially was only but the tip of the iceberg. There are still some gems hidden within the list, but those gems are the Flavor of the Season: Traps.
Oh, and that reminds me, I now have another source for my pseudo-analysis on the said “flavor”. Happiness!
So now my analysis will be more consistent, now that most of the current sources will be more anime-related, as well as academically-related. There’s a good balance of both, and that with my impersonal analysis, this “commentary” will be well-accepted (I think anyway).
So there you go! Off I go to speed deletion mode.
…Then back to Work Mode! orz

Hmm, two points.
First is technical. Your link to the blogs you favor…well, you shouldn’t simply link to AN my nano, because other animenano members reach their own my nanos, while I suspect non-members can’t get anything…
Second, heh, my problem is pretty much the reverse, I’m seriously lagging behind in trying to catch up with all the good serieses already, let alone try pick up some more then go delete…

Ah, I guess I should remove that then. I never expected that there would be non-members of the Anime Nano reading this, so that one hyperlink may be a bit misleading. ^^;;
