Contrary to current public perception, this is a post of praise, not of lampoon.

That aside, it’s time for the main point of this post: Ether Vapor

First, it’s awesome. Never have I been sucked in a game that requires me to focus on all incoming enemy “fighter planes” a mile away. Especially if it runs ten times faster than the PC I am running this (trial) game on. I had to keep myself from gazing away from the screen, lest let my “plane” be bombarded with proton missiles.

Second, the mechanics was really simple and easy to pick up, as Tsubaki has already reiterated. Three weapons of choice, four directions of movement, never mind the succeeding orientation. That’s what it took me to keep from getting PWNED.

Third, it’s that awesome I could think of recommending it to my wish list, so in case there are news of availability here in the Philippines, I would pick it up right away.

The guys behind the game itself should be given a worthy praise for concocting a one-of-a-kind amateur-made 3D scrolling shooter. I wish our local non-professional game makers were to be given such appreciation.
