Damnit! Haruhi-ism is in full force, and I’m not even part of the circle. Granted, I hadn’t thought up of signing up for the Quasi-Legion of Haruhi, taking part with fanboys in their adoration of their #1 Idol. But after seeing the 2nd episode of this one-of-a-kind item on the Spring Season’s anime line-up, I must say I was hooked.

Indeed, a parody of an established genre set in high school!

We have the spunky, eccentric high school girl going by the name of Haruhi Suzumiya, who has no interest in anything not out of the ordinary, changes hairstyles “to avoid alien detection”, and is the founder of a club… where there’s not much of a purpose other than to keep herself (as well as us) entertained and excited.

Patiently, I watch as Haruhi and her SOS Brigade (no, there isn’t any medical know-how required) try to put up anything interesting to any new coerced members recruits coming. Well, if there are…

I have no idea who her seiyuu is, but I’m pretty damn sure those who’ve read the novels from which this series is based are very much familiar with the girl behind Haruhi herself.

    Haruhi has real potential, and the dance sequence is real cool! Too bad I wish I had my own bandwidth and time to check it out. -_-;
